Allianz Sciath na Scol Final

How we got in the Final

Hello and this is Kayleigh Mulcahy reporting how “ how the girls Sciath Na Scol football team got into the county final”.  We lost against Carrigaline but luckily there was a playoff against Innishannon.  It was very nervewrecking because we thought we were going to be out of the competition.  If Eva Noonan didn’t get the final point before full time we could have been out of the competition.

Sciath Na Scol Final
Hello and this is Kayleigh Mulcahy reporting the Sciath Na Scol FINAL on the 19th November. The final was played in Pairc Uí Rínn.  There were 500 supporters in Pairc Uí rínn. Miss Creedon was screaming her head off!!!! It was a  very exciting event.  My uncle said I was jumping up and down like a jack in the box. When my name was announced I was waving like mad.

How we lost the final

We played our hearts out on the 19th November. We were literally whipped out the gate by Glounthane. They were the strongest team on the day. After the full-time whistle blew we were all bawling crying out on the pitch. Emily Cunningham , the captain was devastated. I gave her a big hug. Then I went over to Miss Creedon  and she gave me a big hug. Afterwards Glounthane gave us a guard of honour. Then we went up to receive our medals.
